This game shoudl be huge and deserves it's own thread. I will tell you all what I know, firts off this new game is based in San Andrea's unlike all of the other games San Andreas is not a city but a STATE. In this state there are three main cities each as big as vice city and countyside between the three cities w/ little nothing towns in between. The three cities are bases on Los Angelous (spelling?) San Fracisco and Las Vegas. In this game you play as a black man just out of prison, it is rumored that the game will start while you are in prison. In Vegas you can build and gamble in your own casino. You can also get very fat and very thin if you eat or vice versa. You can ride a bike but you ahve to hit the X button over and over. THe game takes place in the nineties. The state includes a large mountain whcih you cna adventure through, you can swim, up to four people in the car for a drive by, AI is better, and you will be able to rob houses. You can see ur self in mirrors and other shiny things.
CHARACTER INFO
The entry for San Andreas contains only three roles. Each has a side drawn from a recent movie, rather than the game itself.
Maria, the one female role of the three, is a "young Italian woman." Her side is a scene from the 1988 Los Angeles gangster movie Colors, the confrontation between Maria Conchita Alonso's character (a Hispanic waitress in east Los Angeles) and the young white cop played by Sean Penn.
Madd Dogg, one of the two male roles, is a "black American male, 23." His side swaps him into the role of the reckless, violent O-Dog, Larenz Tate's character in Menace II Society, and manages to fit a dozen N-words on two short PDF pages. Unless Rockstar feels like flirting with even more controversy than usual, it doesn't seem like he'll be the protagonist of the piece.
The other male role is Maccer, a "Manchester-born white male, 22." Judging by his accent, that's Manchester in England, rather than Manchester in New Hampshire or Connecticut. His side is from a more obscure film, a 1999 British movie called Human Traffic, about a lost weekend of adventures involving five drug-addled club kids. Specifically, it's from the role of Jip, played by John Simm, who received some more American exposure in 24 Hour Party People. He's a fast-talking scenester who delivers a hilarious monologue about Travis Bickle to an unfortunate cabdriver.
In an interesting coincidence, another Human Traffic character was played by Danny Dyer, who showed up in Grand Theft Auto Vice City as the clueless British expatriate Kent Paul.
The recurring theme of gangs and urban violence lends further credence to the supposition that the film's setting will be patterned after southern California. The name "San Andreas" suggests the entire state, but San Francisco and San Jose aren't quite as famous for their street crime as Los Angeles. All three films are relatively contemporary, too, suggesting that San Andreas won't be a period piece like Vice City.
Rockstar Games will say nothing about San Andreas until its appointed time, of course. We'll continue to dig up what facts we can, however, and we'll deliver the full story when that appointed time arrives.
The game is set to come out on October 22 (I think), but that could change at any time. What esle you you gusy liek to see added to this game?
i guess this is some more information
Five years ago Carl Johnson escaped from the pressures of life in Los Santos, San Andreas... a city tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs and corruption. Where filmstars and millionaires do their best to avoid the dealers and gangbangers.
Now, it's the early 90s. Carl's got to go home. His mother has been murdered, his family has fallen apart and his childhood friends are all heading towards disaster.
On his return to the neighborhood, a couple of corrupt cops frame him for homicide. CJ is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets.
